New Music I’ve Been Vibing To | June 2014

So I don’t know what’s been going on but I’ve been having so much luck in my discoveries when it comes to coming across new, great music. I felt like I should probably share these gems that I’ve found over the past couple of months. Here’s my list:

1. GoldLink

GoldLink’s music has been in heavy rotation. I’ve been listening to his latest mixtape The God Complex every single day. It’s by far one of the best projects I’ve heard in this year so far. I hope this kid makes a mark in hip-hop. His flow and tonality is so distinguishable & his production is consistently tight as hell. He’s also been doing a great job at hiding his identity or his face as you can see from above. If you like artists such as Chance the Rapper, Childish Gambino, Vince Mensa, you’ll dig this kid’s music. Give him a listen:

2. Little Simz

This pint size femcee that hails from the UK is definitely someone to look out for. Her flow is silky smooth along with her production. She’s a breath of fresh air. Her track The Hamptons was what caught my attention. She’s definitely gonna blow up one day. If you dig music such as Theo London you’ll dig her. Check her out:

3. Waldo

No, no, not that Waldo. This Waldo is from Michigan and he has been dropping nothing but gold since his debut in underground hip-hop. His latest EP NSDE/OUTSDE is defnitely worth a listen. If you’re into artists such as the ones listed above, you’ll love him to. Check his music out:

4. Felly

I literally just started listening to Felly the other day but it was love at first listen so I had to share him as well. His sound is smooth and pretty chill. If you’re into Mac Miller (no, it’s not because they’re both white), Vince Staples, Earl Sweatshirt, you’ll probably like this kid although I will say that I hope he defines more of his own sound because although his music is dope, one might misinterpret his sound being heavily influenced by Mac Miller from production to flow but he’s a newbie so we’ll see how his sound evolves. Nonetheless still give him a listen:

5. Princess Nokia (or aka Wavy Spice)

I discovered this sassy, sultry rapper/singer a couple of months back. I’ve been bumping her single Versace Hottie like nobody’s business. Her flow is sharp just like her tongue. She’s definitely someone you listen to when you wanna feel like a bad vixen boss. If you’re into Azealia Banks, Jungle Pussy, Grimes, you’ll like her. Check her out:

Alrighty, that’s all I have for you guys this time. I’ll definitely be on the look out for more new, dope music. Anyone have suggestions for new artists to check out? Comment & let me know ^.^
